CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
KM/Plaza is at its best when working as advocate for the client. Know as Construction Management, contractually the process of construction is open book, providing the client with a minimum of three qualified,
quantified subcontractor bids in every trade.
The discipline of construction becomes about protecting the client from risk----against cost over-runs, scope gaps, installation defects, personal injury or delays to the project---and the financial consequences.
The Construction Manager is in turn incentivized and the entire project team is established in a single collaborative goal: to perform for the client. The client is left squarely in the driver's seat, with eyes wide open to the staffing organization, project management, general conditions and insurance costs.
While KM/Plaza performs work both as a Construction Manager and as a General Contractor, we are clearly more comfortable acting as client advocate and welcome the opportunity to discuss the positives and negatives of both contracting methods, particularly with respect to a specific project and its unique requirements. |
