KM/Plaza was selected by Related Lodging to serve as Construction Manager for the new 21-story condominium hotel, The W Hotel Resort and Residences.
Located on 23rd Street and Collins Avenue on Miami Beach, this upscale condominium/hotel will include 408 luxurious units. This project is being developed by the Related Companies of NY and designed by internationally recognized architectural firm of Costas Kodilys & Partners along with the Interior Design firm of Yabu Pushelberg and local architect, Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolfe & Associates.
This project boasts panoramic ocean views, pools, including 20 rooftop pools for residences, a spa, cabanas, restaurants, concierge services and more. A particular challenge included in the design of this property and unique to South Florida is the engineering and construction of a 400 foot vehicular tunnel. This tunnel was designed specifically to facilitate the easing of traffic on Collins Avenue and will be used for valet services. In addition, there is a functioning subterranean basement. As this is just steps from the ocean, it is uncommon and unique.
